A Baptism, Two Camps, and a Whole Lot to Celebrate 🙌

What a month it's been at Sidewalk Ministries! We want to start with the story that's been on our hearts most: Reco, a young man from our Desert Winds site, gave his life to Jesus and was baptized at First Baptist Church Jacksonville. This moment was years in the making. Angela and Douglas Warren, our faithful site leaders at Desert Winds for the past eight years, have brought Reco and his sisters to church at First Baptist for the last couple of years to every service gathering. Watching him come up out of that water is exactly why we do what we do! One more life that gets to know he's loved, chosen, and never alone. Praise God!

The story doesn't stop there - Reco has faithfully brought his sisters to Sidewalk Ministries. Would you join us in praying that these young women place their trust in Jesus and continue to grow in their walk with Him? We praise God for working through Reco's love and faithfulness!

There's even more good news to celebrate! This summer, seven middle schoolers and two high schoolers attended camp with Young Life, and two middle school girls made decisions to follow Jesus! Potter's House Ministries also provided transportation for our Calloway Cove and Valencia Way students to attend their weeklong VBS, where four children made salvation decisions! And Power Up Clubs, hosted by Christian Family Chapel with help from a team sent by Chet's Creek, gave children at Desert Winds a place to grow, laugh, and hear the Gospel in a way that meets them right where they are. We are so thankful for the time and energy given to these children this month. We extend a big THANK YOU to all who served and made this past week a summer highlight!

At Sidewalk, our children sing worship songs and hear about God's purpose for their lives every single week. But for many of them, camp and VBS are the first time they've spent a week outside their community, focused entirely on the Gospel. We are so thankful for partners who come alongside us and reinforce the Gospel: Christian Family Chapel, Chet's Creek, Potter's House Ministries, Young Life, and First Baptist Church Jacksonville. Partnerships like these mean our children hear the Good News over and over, from people who care about them. We're so grateful to do this work alongside you!
